Dry skin is no joke. Your face is out there for everyone to see and when flaking, peeling and cracking skin is all anyone can see you lose your identity and turn into a dry skin face wreak.
In order to take care of dry skin face problems it’s a good idea to know what might be causing the issue. Dry skin can be the result of heredity, weather, living conditions, hygiene or diet. While dry skin also known as Xeroderma shows most in the face it can affect many places of the body like the shoulders, hands, feet or thighs.
Dry skin face problems can show up in the summer when dry winds, pool chemicals, and exposure to the sun can cause extreme damage quickly. To avoid this damage to the skin it’s important to always use sunscreen. This is the first thing that should be applied in the morning after facial cleaning. Keep a tube of sunscreen with you, especially during the summer months so it can be reapplied after swimming or freshening makeup.
When leaving the beach or a pool dab warm soapy water on the skin of the face then gently wash the soap away and reapply sunscreen. The faster pool chemicals or natural salts are off the skin the better to reduce dry skin face problems.
In winter the way to resolve dry skin face issues is to use protective products and clothing. An oil based moisturizer is best during the colder months to offer a layer of protection for the skin. A sunscreen should still be used even during the coldest, darkest days of winter to avoid the drying out of the skin.
Carry extra clothes to replace any that become damp or wet from rain or snow. Cold, wet clothing can cause the skin to become irritated.
If you parents had a dry skin face issue it’s possible that you might have them also. It’s a good idea if this is the case to see a dermatologist to determine if this isn’t a problem correctable by medication.
If diet could be an issue that’s causing dry skin face problems then you might try looking for foods rich in vitamin A and vitamin D. There are also skin creams which are vitamin enhanced.
